The Makkanuka Foundation is now accepting applications for those interested in ordination under the Upasika Jai ​​Phra Project, 11th Generation. A once-in-a-lifetime opportunity for women to ordain (8 precepts) and meditate like monks, practice intensively according to the Dharma and Vinaya, and observe the ascetic practices in the forest throughout the Buddhist Lent in 2025.

Application criteria for the ordination project:

  1. Complete 3 courses of Ajarn Prasert Uthaichelem and 1 of the 3 courses must be a course on Koh Phaluai (because he will stay on Koh Phaluai for the entire 3 months).
  2. You can walk up and down from the upper monastery to the lower monastery to go on alms round (he will stay on the mountain, there is no shuttle service, you have to walk up and down by yourself).
  3. Ordain for 3 months, complete the Buddhist Lent (do not accept those who do not ordain for the entire Buddhist Lent).
  4. No chronic illnesses that will be an obstacle to practicing meditation.
