@Ko Phaluai
In August 2015, during the Buddhist Lent, the second generation of female lay renunciants (Upasika Jai Phra) was ordained. At that time, the Upasikas were staying at Wat Wang Niang. On the morning of September 10, a deep yearning arose to find a remote forested place, far from the crowds, to retreat in solitude. Suddenly, a single word surfaced in the mind: “Ko Phaluai.”
Suan Yindee Talay @Sichon
Around June 2012, after completing a period of Dhamma practice at Suan Yindee Dhamma in Surat Thani, Ajarn Prasert Uthaichalerm set out in search of a quiet place for solitude. Having spent a long stretch continuously teaching and leading meditation retreats, he sought a peaceful retreat in nature. He decided to travel and stay overnight in the forested area of Khao Phlai Dam, a place he had heard was serene and still preserved in its natural, untouched beauty.
